ANFrameworks

ANFrameworks is the flagship product of ALIENetworks. Designed to drastically reduce the development time associated with creating web-enabled applications while providing a homogeneous, secure infrastructure with robust auditing and access control, ANFrameworks delivers everything your developers need to start creating your business solutions now, instead of days or weeks from now, after they've addressed issues like secure sign-on, session management, security, controlled acces to resources and business processes, etc.

How does it work?

ANFrameworks is a ColdFusion-based application development framework (ANFrameworks 3.0 is designed for CFMX - previous versions will run on CF 5) that can provide a blank slate for your developers to begine creating solutions, or it can integrate into your existing CF-based web application by simply copying the files into the web directory and running the setup program. ANFrameworks will create its own files and resources, database tables, handle integration, etc. Once it's in place, it works invisibly - the ANFrameworks API and resources are instantly available to your developers throughout your application.

What new resources will I have access to?

  • Effortless session management - the framework gracefully handles hundreds or thousands of concurrent users and tracks each users data - automatically.
  • Persistent structures - set session and application-wide variables that remain available over many http requests - no thread management or CFLocking required!
  • Integrated auditing - the framework records every mouse click, every link, every form field submitted, allowing you to complately reconstruct a user session.
  • Roles-based security - create new roles, or 'groups' - logical collections of users that share a group of access rights - with a single line of code. Add users to the role, add or adjust permissions values, and determine the RSoP (Resultant Set of Policies) for any user - again, with a single line of code. Protect critical portions of your web application with a simple call to the #sysCheckPermission()# function.
  • High availability and speed - the framework is desinged to handle many thousands of concurrent connections, while delivering sub-second response time. On a P4-3Ghz machine with a gig of RAM, typical template render and serve time under load is less than 60 ms!
  • Easy installation. The framework determines its own paths, presents a list of available datasources, and creates and manages its own tables and database structures.
  • Re-brandable and redistributable. Use the Enterprise version of theframework to get a jump start on your next web project, and you can package it all up together for delivery or resale.


ANFrameworks 3.0 Editions

ANframeworks 3.0 comes in three flavors, each designed for a specific development need:
  • ANFrameworks 3.0 Lite - The lite edition of ANFrameworks contains all the core security and session management processes, the auditing engine, and the new speed enhancements in ANF 3.0. The lite version is fully encrypted and may not be rebranded or resold.
  • ANFrameworks 3.0 Corporate - In addition to the features offered in ANF 3.0 Lite, the corporate version of ANF 3.0 includes extensive administrative dialogs and interfaces and a new scripting language. Portions of ANF 3.0 are unencrypted, in order to allow your developers to hook directly into ANF 3.0 core processes.
  • ANFrameworks 3.0 Enterprise - Fully unencrypted, rebrandable, and fast fast fast! ANF 3.0 Ent provides the perfect backdrop to create your enterprise web enabled application.
